The Servant of Jesus Church and Shelter in Calhoun County Alabama offers a safe, loving environment where the homeless, the needy, and the forgotten can have shelter, sustenance, and food for the body and soul. From family support to tutoring and vocational guidance and ultimately job placement and independence, Servant of Jesus works tirelessly to nourish the hungry and the thirsty, from the newborn to the elderly, right here in your community.
Servant of Jesus offers various opportunities for you to help us in running our rapidly growing programs and activities right in your neighborhood. We are actively looking for volunteers who can help us every day, in whatever capacity they can contribute.
Our doors never close. We are open 24/7, 365 days a year. We take no breaks because hunger and thirst offer no breaks.
Our caring and passionate staff and volunteers are always on duty full-time to serve as positive role models, mentors and friends.
We never, ever charge for any of our services, which include food, shelter, counseling and clothing.
